Home Safe and Sound

Finally after many days of driving and visiting with friends, we are worn out. The dog did well in our drive up and down the east coast. We are happy to be home again in our sweet little home.
We have missed you. I wanted to make a blog post about our trip, it was fairly uneventful however the long hours of driving just wore me out. I dont even know if I want to get back in my vehicle and drive errands around town.

We got the truck situated and the trailer was hitched, then we started driving Sunday morning, I got tired around the Maryland area, so we spent the night at a hotel in Haggerstown,
Then the next day we drove to NC and attempted to meet up with my friend, I cried because I didnt want to drive anymore. I needed to find a hotel room. So we stayed up the street from my friends house and ate cheese fries for dinner.
The next morning, we heard that there was rain in the forecast so we waited until check out time to leave NC and head south again. I did not want to drive in the dark, so we stopped in Savannah and slept for the night. I am glad we did, because the flat tire would have happened on the road instead of at a hotel parking lot.
The Lrd was and has protected us the whole trip north and back. I prayed a lot before I had to enter and or exit the roads that I needed, I prayed because I made a wrong exit and said Lrd I need a place to turn around, at the top of the hill was a look out point where I could turn around easily, then back down the mountain.
I want PA and VA and NC to know that I hate your hills. So sorry, the air made my head dizzy and the hills scared me to drive over them with the trailer. I just went really slow.

Everyone we met along our trip have been so kind to us and was willing extend a hand if we needed it. I had to only find spots to park the truck and trailer where I could pull through, I do not back up.
I prayed a lot, and we were able to get all the way to GA before we had a complete flat tire. We parked at the hotel and in the morning the tire was completely flat, AAA came and changed the tire out for us and we were on our way again. The last leg of our journey back home.
We like our new home state, when our neighbor came home he backed the trailer up in our back yard, He made it look so easy. He is going to find us some fence for the side yard to hold the dogs in the yard and keep people from walking in our back yard where my trailer is stored.

I guess I will need to get some more locks.

We are in one piece, but I hope I will never ever have to do that again. Boy, did I miss my husbands skills when it came to these things.

We now have our kitchen stuff and my bike. We are two happy girls. I will have to unpack the trailer when I feel better.

Thank you everyone for the prayers of protection and the basically smooth drive north and south, I went slow the huge trucks just zoomed past me. We just kept moving south with the trailer in tow.

*Many hotel rooms, with NCIS all day
*Food eaten in the car, no real meals for days on end
*One flat tire
*One scratch on my truck, yikes

Southern heat and no air conditioning- Help

We bought this cute house in March and the heat in south is not what we are use too. I was guaranteed from HUD that the house was in good condition and that the air conditioner and heat, plumbing and electric, and roof were in working condition.
However, when it got hot and we needed the air, the air conditioner doesnt work. It is frustrating, because I dont have much cash left to fix an air conditioner and the floors in the house. The air conditioner also would costs hundreds of dollars per month to keep running. We have a window unit, but that is not helping at all. It is so hot today and we have only just started the summer.
I have asked for people from our fellowship to help me with the repairs on the house, but everyone is so busy that I just dont get the help I need.
We are just suffering through the heat and I have a icy towel that I sleep on to keep cool. I now have prickly heat.
We still are liking southern home, but we miss NH's politics. Mae was sad because she really wanted to see Trump in person.. She said, Thomas you are mean with a smile of course. I told her that I am happy that he gets to see these guys. NH is the best.

Will our air conditioner ever get fixed? Will we ever get comfortable here in the south despite the heat.
I got offered a job yesterday, I do not know all the details yet. I wont know much until a recruiter calls me in about two weeks.
I really just wanted my books to sell and my ideas to sell. However, if I have to take a job, I will have to. I dont know what else to do at this point.
I like staying home with my daughter and caring for her and having time flexibility.

How do I ask for assistance for myself and my daughter? Her camp costs were about $160 dollars. To get all the items we have needed for this house, it has costs us thousands of dollars. I dont know how much more I can expect to spend. I need about $3000 for fixing the floor in this house. It is a way better estimate than what Lowes originally quoted me. Lowes quoted me nearly $10,000 to fix our floor and then it was not the right type of flooring for this house. I needed something lighter because of the structure of this cracker house.

I am able to make payments on the materials for the floor, however I need to find someone who can do the labor inexpensively.

Is there anyone out there willing to pay me for my ideas in my head? Is there anyone out there who is willing to help a single parent financially?

I believe if I had another $5000 it would cover my expenses for the house and my daughters schooling which will start in the fall.

The cost for the schooling will be around $800. We are excited about this schooling, however if I have to work a full time job. Then this schooling will not work for her. Please L-rd I dont want to send my child to a full time school. I hate it and I would miss her so much.

If you are willing and able to give us a boost, we would be eternally grateful.

Thomas Jefferson's Thoughts on Taxes

Thomas Jefferson on Taxation-

“If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, and give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses.
And the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they do now, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mis-managers to account; but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains around the necks of our fellow sufferers.
And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second, that second for a third, and so on 'til the bulk of the society is reduced to be mere automations of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering.
And the forehorse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression."
Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom?
Material abundance without character is the path of destruction.”
Thomas Jefferson 1816 Third President of the United States 1801 -1809, Drafter of the Declaration of Independence, Founder of the University of Virginia

What an amazing guy, I cannot wait to meet him someday. His words are so prophetic and I am sure he didnt know it.

Here in scripture what is happening in America.
I dont want to live this life, I am not able to escape it.

Foul Language Replacement Manual

I have finally finished my first Amazon ebook, it was a long process. I spent 100s of hours on getting this ebook ready to publish. I purchased Indesign from Adobe after spending a whole month working through the trial period. I could not get the ebook uploaded before my trial time ended. However, this Indd suffix didnt work in Amazon. I cancelled that subscription right away.
The day I uploaded the ebook, I spent over 8 hours in one day to find a file extension that would work in Amazon and upload my pictures with my ebook. The pictures didnt upload, so I am using them on my social media accounts. My daughter had to feed me and get me water, so I could finish this ebook.

All I need for Amazon was a word document and file extension. It worked just fine, so next time I will know what to do with my other ebooks.

I used the html, docx, htm, indd, pdf and the only one that worked was the docx. I also uploaded my friends book. I know that all I need is a jpg also for my cover photo and upload it. I may not need to find someone to make a cover for me. Which is sweet. I can do most of the work myself

I guess after all this, I know how not to do something.

Here is the cover of my book-

You can order this ebook from Amazon.

The Art of Homeschooling

Mae was able to use clay to form a turtle sculpture. She did a great job. However, the instructor placed the turtles tail on backwards because it had fallen off during the drying time.

She will be able to display her artwork after her room is all set up.

We hope to be able to pick up some furniture from the local students when they leave at the end of the semester. We will have dressers soon, maybe a desk or two. I said a prayer to be able to get as much furniture in my truck as possible. I might have to make more than one trip.

I hope I will be able to get some friends from church to help me pick up furniture as well. I could always use more furniture. I can then turn around and sell it.

Here are the photos from art class.
