Car Dancing-Crazy Frog

Have you seen some of those silly people who dance in their car to their favorite songs?
Maybe you have seen two young women do the same, maybe it was us.
Shaking the head, moving the shoulders.
Are we having fun yet? Enjoy one of our favorite dance songs.

Head Shots today

"How's my makeup, Mom?" "I am not sure go ask the makeup artist."
She said it was fine. Great, go get your pictures taken.

I want to be an animal

My child says "I want to be an animal".
I said, "What type of animal would you like to be?"
A cheetah or a dolphin, she replied.

I figured she would like to be a cheetah because they are very fast.

I know she would like to be a dolphin because they travel in a group and they are very social.

Bunny Trails

My daughter went to spend time with a friend.
She got to hold the bunny.
This bunny was so soft and has a beautiful color.
However there are perils to holding a bunny, perhaps getting poo in a sweater pocket.

Dinner and a Tinker Bell

Vacation week consists of movies,, movies and friends.
So we ate dinner and watched a Tinker Bell movie.
My child just loves all the Tinker Bells and her friends.
If I could purchase all the tinker bell stuff from the store, she would love it.

Thank you Disney for continuing to make more Tinker Bell movies.

Sleding anyone?

It was about 13 degrees outside and it is very cold. With the wind it must be around 0 outside.
We went down the hill about four or five times then it was time to go back home.
It was not easy to get all the way down the hill, our sleds stopped halfway down the hill.
Then the older kids came so I said "Lets go home and let the older kids have the hill"
"Ok Mom"
Our skin and lips felt so dry like sand paper, time for the coconut oil.

Pacific Ocean waves

We love the ocean and the sloshing waves.
I dream of a vacation home near the ocean with the sunshine and sand.
I feel most comfortable in sandals and summer dresses.

The ocean, sand and coconuts.

I use coconut oil on my skin and hands. It is wonderful stuff.
I heard that the coconut tree is the tree of a thousand uses.

When I was in Vietnam, I was so happy to be able to eat as many coconuts as I wanted.
Yippy.
I am sure I would be so happy living in a tropical environment.

Starving Artisits

In the fact that we are enjoying what we are doing now, we can be content in knowing our artisitic abilities may not get recognized for years maybe even decades.

I have always been told when you love what you do the money will come.

However we still persevere because writing, painting, marketing, technology and business is what drives us both.

I know I dont need much to live on, but to have a life which enables me to write and share my life with so many is a dream come true.

The definition of Starving Artists according to Wikipedia.

A starving artist is an artist who sacrifices material well-being in order to focus on their artwork. They typically live on minimum expenses, either for a lack of business or because all their disposable income goes toward art projects.

Some starving artists desire mainstream success but have difficulty due to the high barriers to entry in art such as visual arts, the film industry, and theatre. These artists frequently take temporary positions (such as waitering or other service industry jobs) while they focus their attention on breaking through in their preferred field.

Others may find enough satisfaction in living as artists to choose voluntary poverty regardless of prospects of future financial reward or broad recognition. Virginia Nicholson writes in Among the Bohemians: Experiments in Living 1900–1939:

Fifty years on we may judge that Dylan Thomas's poverty was noble, while Nina Hamnett's was senseless. But a minor artist with no money goes as hungry as a genius. What drove them to do it? I believe that such people were not only choosing art, they were choosing the life of the artist. Art offered them a different way of living, one that they believed more than compensated for the loss of comfort and respectability

If we put artists in a box they will be misearble.

Cookie Butter? What is that?

Trader Joes is at it again.

Cookie Butter? What is that?

My friend said you must taste this Cookie Butter.

I didnt read the label, I just trusted her advice.

I figured if something that tasted this good it had to be loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients.
Even though this might be a once a year purchase.
It is well worth it.
It tastes fabulous and it only has 5 grams of sugar.

Loss and Grief

During the Nemo storm my friend lost his life. He was young with a young family. He was a wonderful person, so full of life. He loved the Lord and is now with Jesus in the clouds. There are no words to express my grief.
None of this life with sickness and death makes any sense. My heart is broken for my friend at the loss of her husband. Joe, we will miss Joe, but will again see you in the clouds.
Give Jesus a hug for us. Please L-rd watch over my friend in her grief and give her peace that is beyond our own understanding. This is when she is her weakest and You are her strongest.
We love you my friend and will return to NH soon.

Mom say "Go"

Ok my dear. "Saygo" or "Seiko" or "Sygo" or "Seagull" she was laughing so hard. I told her I am always serious, this was not supposed to be funny. I am kidding.
She just gives me so much material to work with.
