Southern heat and no air conditioning- Help

We bought this cute house in March and the heat in south is not what we are use too. I was guaranteed from HUD that the house was in good condition and that the air conditioner and heat, plumbing and electric, and roof were in working condition.
However, when it got hot and we needed the air, the air conditioner doesnt work. It is frustrating, because I dont have much cash left to fix an air conditioner and the floors in the house. The air conditioner also would costs hundreds of dollars per month to keep running. We have a window unit, but that is not helping at all. It is so hot today and we have only just started the summer.
I have asked for people from our fellowship to help me with the repairs on the house, but everyone is so busy that I just dont get the help I need.
We are just suffering through the heat and I have a icy towel that I sleep on to keep cool. I now have prickly heat.
We still are liking southern home, but we miss NH's politics. Mae was sad because she really wanted to see Trump in person.. She said, Thomas you are mean with a smile of course. I told her that I am happy that he gets to see these guys. NH is the best.

Will our air conditioner ever get fixed? Will we ever get comfortable here in the south despite the heat.
I got offered a job yesterday, I do not know all the details yet. I wont know much until a recruiter calls me in about two weeks.
I really just wanted my books to sell and my ideas to sell. However, if I have to take a job, I will have to. I dont know what else to do at this point.
I like staying home with my daughter and caring for her and having time flexibility.

How do I ask for assistance for myself and my daughter? Her camp costs were about $160 dollars. To get all the items we have needed for this house, it has costs us thousands of dollars. I dont know how much more I can expect to spend. I need about $3000 for fixing the floor in this house. It is a way better estimate than what Lowes originally quoted me. Lowes quoted me nearly $10,000 to fix our floor and then it was not the right type of flooring for this house. I needed something lighter because of the structure of this cracker house.

I am able to make payments on the materials for the floor, however I need to find someone who can do the labor inexpensively.

Is there anyone out there willing to pay me for my ideas in my head? Is there anyone out there who is willing to help a single parent financially?

I believe if I had another $5000 it would cover my expenses for the house and my daughters schooling which will start in the fall.

The cost for the schooling will be around $800. We are excited about this schooling, however if I have to work a full time job. Then this schooling will not work for her. Please L-rd I dont want to send my child to a full time school. I hate it and I would miss her so much.

If you are willing and able to give us a boost, we would be eternally grateful.

Thomas Jefferson's Thoughts on Taxes

Thomas Jefferson on Taxation-

“If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, and give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses.
And the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they do now, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mis-managers to account; but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains around the necks of our fellow sufferers.
And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second, that second for a third, and so on 'til the bulk of the society is reduced to be mere automations of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering.
And the forehorse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression."
Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom?
Material abundance without character is the path of destruction.”
Thomas Jefferson 1816 Third President of the United States 1801 -1809, Drafter of the Declaration of Independence, Founder of the University of Virginia

What an amazing guy, I cannot wait to meet him someday. His words are so prophetic and I am sure he didnt know it.

Here in scripture what is happening in America.
I dont want to live this life, I am not able to escape it.

Here is the link which I found many quotes and references of Thomas Jefferson. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2187083/posts
