Try to run outside while holding an open umbrella behind you. You will feel the air getting caught in the umbrella, slowing you down. Now you can see how God crated the birds with the ability and need to catch the air when they land. Try to imagine what would happen if a bird was unable to use its wing and tail feathers as parachutes when it landed.
